Final comments

The blog is now complete.  I was having problems with Blogger moving posts around and not letting me upload pictures.  I was only able to put some pictures in and then I would get locked out for days.  I think I have resolved the issues and today was able to post the final 148 pictures in one session.

    As mentioned in yesterday’s blog, we had more delays in Toronto.    The Customs and Immigration process went quickly, since our plane was the only one landing at the time. However, things ground to a halt at the baggage claim area.    There was a problem unloading the luggage.    When the sign at the carousal, where our luggage was to come out, indicating our flight number was turned off, 75 minutes after the plane landed, only about one third of the passengers had collected their bags, the rest of us were still waiting. An hour and 45 minutes after we landed, we finally had our suitcases, but there were still people waiting. We walked to the connecting flights gate.    Another line and it was another 20 minutes to get to the front, because a lot of people had to be rescheduled.    We were given our new boarding passes for the 9 p.m. flight – it was 11 a.m. in the morning.    Any earlier flights were full.      Today is an Argentine national holiday – Epiphany. In the Roman Catholic church, it is the day that the three kings visited the holy family and Jesus, after his birth.    When we ended our cruise in San Antonio on December 8, 2017, it was a Chilean national Catholic holiday.      About January 3 rd  the Christmas decoration on the ship had been packed away.      It was a sunny morning, temperature was 17 ° C with a light breeze. We had breakfast in the Lido buffet and shared a table with Jan and Doug and talked to Shin and Joyce.    Then we gathered our carry-on luggage from the stateroom and waited to be called for transport to the cruise passenger terminal to collect our luggage.
